Connection to the outside world has been hard the last few days.
Bridges is a really nice place, the youth hostel good, and the beer great. If you want a quiet place where you can walk, cycle and see nice scenery then this is a good option that is not too far from civilisation.

Today has been all about going downhill. Apart from a steep section out of Bridges the while time has been practically all downhill. There was one very steep downhill section after the initial climb. I reached my highest speed ever at 43.6 mph, which frankly was scary, other recorded speed over 46 mph.
When we got to Shrewsbury we had to all the way around the town to find the station. After a coffee opposite the station, there were nearly tears as we said goodbye to Bruce.
As we got closer to Chester we crossed this canal, which I am struggling to find the name of.
When we got to about 12 miles out of Chester it started to rain heavily, and we did not want to get soaked again, so we made a strategic decision to stop at this pub to shelter and replace lost fluids.
Once the rain had stopped it did not take is long to reach the guest house in Chester via this bridge.

I have finally been able to get to the pictures of Ian's Jeep that we saw on Monday next to the Severn crossing.
Ian and Ray will be driving 3000 miles in June on a Help for Heros rally along the Normandy beaches of France and down to Southern Germany. The web page giving more details is http://www.bmycharity.com/H4H4X4Rally2012
